Teaching Philosophy
I will create a classroom where students feel welcomed, safe, and inspired. All students deserve the best working environment possible, and not every student learns the same way so it is crucial to give them the opportunities they need through strategies such as differentiation, a flexible classroom, and empathy. When working with students I strive to build relationships by getting to know them, encouraging them to meet their high but reachable goals, and engaging them in the content. In order to meet the learning needs of my students I will incorporate hands-on activities, cooperative learning projects, and independent standard-based activities. Students will always know that they are welcome in our classroom.
Classroom Management PhilosophyMy classroom management philosophy is based on many different theories. I believe that students need structure within the classroom by using procedures but also need to have freedom to discover. I want to build relationships with students by getting to know them, working with them, and letting them make the classroom their own. If a student feels at home in the classroom they will learn better. They are going to be a part of the classroom family.
